Avion Rewards x Triangle Rewards – FAQ
Everything you need to know about linking your Triangle Rewards and RBC Cards, so you can earn bonus Canadian Tire Money across the country.
You can link your Triangle Rewards card and RBC Card(s) at any time by:
Visiting www.avionrewards.com/partnerships/triangle-rewards, or
Signing in to your RBC Online Banking, selecting the card you want to link and then selecting “Link or update Triangle Rewards” in
the right-hand menu.
You must be a Triangle Rewards member and an RBC client to participate. Don’t have a Triangle Rewards card? It’s easy to join for free while you link your cards. Link online at www.avionrewards.com/partnerships/triangle-rewards.
You need to link your cards once to enjoy the exclusive benefits of RBC’s partnership with Triangle Rewards. After you’re linked, you will earn 3X the Canadian Tire Money on all your eligible purchases at participating Triangle Rewards stores.
All of your eligible personal and business RBC debit and RBC credit cards can be linked to your Triangle Rewards account. If you’re a business client, all business cards will be linked to the same Triangle Rewards account. RBC Commercial credit cards and RBC Visa Prepaid Cards are excluded.

Any authorized users on your accounts will automatically be linked to your Triangle Rewards account. Only one user can link to a Triangle Rewards account at one time.
Co-applicants on your accounts will need to link their own RBC Cards to a Triangle Rewards account. Co-applicants and authorized users cannot link authorized user cards through this process.
Have a business account? All of your business client and credit cards will be linked to the same Triangle Rewards account.
No. Triangle Rewards is Canadian Tire’s loyalty program. Avion Rewards is RBC’s loyalty program. RBC clients can link their existing RBC debit or credit cards to a Triangle Rewards card to earn triple Canadian Tire Money at participating Triangle Rewards stores.
Participating stores include Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s, Party City Sports Experts, Atmosphere, Hockey Life, Hockey Express, L’Équipeur, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, L’Entrepôt du Hockey.

When you link your cards, you consent to Royal Bank of Canada and Canadian Tire Corporation sharing your RBC Card number, loyalty program account number, points balance, transaction history or point of sale transaction information, and communicating with you for the purpose of administering the rewards and benefits.
RBC may also share your name, phone number, email, date of birth and address for the purpose of creating a Triangle Rewards account if you do not have one during the linking process. For more information, please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

You can link, change, view, or unlink your Triangle Rewards card from your RBC Card at any time by signing in to your RBC Online Banking, selecting the card you want to modify and then “Link or update Triangle Rewards” in the right-hand menu.
Once you’ve linked your eligible RBC Cards to your Triangle Rewards card, you can use your preferred mobile payment method and still receive 3X the Canadian Tire Money. Please allow up to 2 business days after you’ve added your cards to your mobile wallet for us to link your cards.
Mobile payment is not available for business clients at this time.
Once you’ve linked at least one RBC Card to your Triangle Rewards card, all eligible new or replacement cards that you receive after will automatically be linked.
Please note it can take up to 2 business days once a new card is activated for it to be linked.
You can start earning Canadian Tire Money as soon as you’ve linked your eligible RBC debit or credit cards!
No, there is no minimum spend.
You can redeem your Canadian Tire Money at participating Triangle Rewards stores. Every dollar earned in Canadian Tire Money is

Yes. You need to scan your Triangle Rewards card every time you shop to earn bonus Canadian Tire Money, even when paying with your linked RBC Card.
There are no additional Avion points associated with this offer.
No, not at this time.
Avion points are converted to Canadian Tire Money® in real-time and should appear in your Triangle Rewards® account immediately after completing a conversion.
You need a minimum of 140 Avion points to convert to Canadian Tire Money®
To convert, you must be an Avion Rewards member with sufficient points and your Triangle Rewards® account must be linked to an eligible RBC Card. For more information, refer to the Avion Rewards membership page and the Linked Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions.
Canadian Tire Money® can be redeemed on eligible purchases for personal and household use at Canadian Tire and Party City retail store locations, SportChek, Mark’s, L’Équipeur, Pro Hockey Life, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, Atmosphere, L’Entrepôt du Hockey, and participating Sports Experts locations across Canada.

1,400 Avion points = $10 Canadian Tire Money®
Points conversion is one-way from Avion points to Canadian Tire Money®. Avion points are converted in real-time and Canadian Tire Money should appear in your Triangle Rewards® account immediately after completing a conversion. You’ll need to be a member of Avion Rewards and link your eligible RBC Card and Triangle Rewards accounts before you’re eligible to convert points. You can learn more about linking your accounts here. Once converted, points cannot be reversed/returned or converted back to Avion Points.
You can convert a maximum of 25,000 Avion points in a 24-hour period.
You’ll get a success message immediately and receive a confirmation email after the successful transaction.
No. Conversion is final and cannot be reversed/returned or converted back to Avion Points.
Please contact Triangle Rewards to get a replacement card. Your new card will be updated in our systems automatically and does not require you to re-link your cards.
You can see your Canadian Tire Money balance anytime by logging into your Triangle Rewards account.
Please contact Triangle Rewards if you believe you’re missing any bonus Canadian Tire Money.
No, you must link an eligible RBC Card to a Triangle Rewards card. A Triangle Rewards Mastercard is not eligible.
Yes. If there is no activity in your Triangle Rewards account (collecting or redeeming CT Money) for 18 months, the Canadian Tire Money in your account will expire.
