When you link your Triangle Rewards® account and your WestJet Rewards account, you consent to CTC and WestJet, and their respective employees, agents, and service providers, handling personal information which may include your WestJet Rewards ID, WestJet Rewards account status, along with a unique identifier to represent the linking relationship between CTC and WestJet for the purposes of the administration of the Linked Loyalty Program and the provision of the benefits, services, and rewards that you earn with the Linked Loyalty Program.

You can change, view, or unlink your Triangle Rewards® account and your WestJet Rewards account at any time by logging into your Triangle Rewards® account or WestJet Rewards account. Prior to unlinking, Linked Members3 must ensure any rewards that are earned have been processed and credited to their rewards account.

You will start earning both CT Money® and WestJet points immediately after you have linked your accounts, or after twenty-four (24 hours), whichever is first.

When shopping at Participating Stores*, Linked Members3 will collect 1 WestJet point for every $2 of eligible pre-tax spend2.  Simply scan your Triangle Rewards card, input the numbers of your linked Triangle Rewards account, use another Cardless Method or pay with a Triangle credit card at time of purchase.

When booking at WestJet and using a payment method other than a Triangle Credit Card
Linked Members3 will earn 0.4% in CT Money® on the value of the WestJet Eligible Purchase1 attributable solely to their own travel, excluding any costs for other travellers included in the same booking4. Other Linked Members3 on the same booking could also earn 0.4% in CT Money. See the examples below for details.

When booking at WestJet and paying with a Triangle Credit Card
Linked Members3 will earn a total of 1% (0.4% + 0.6%) in bonus CT Money®3 on the value of the WestJet Eligible Purchase1 attributable solely to their own travel, excluding any costs for other travellers included in the same booking4. Other Linked Members1 on the same booking could also earn 1% in CT Money. See the examples below for details.

Examples:

Scenario 1 – A Booking with Two Linked Members3:

  • Traveller A books a flight for herself and a friend, Traveller B. They are both Linked Members3 of the Triangle Rewards® and WestJet Rewards Linked Loyalty Program.

  • Traveller A books herself an economy seat with a WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value of $500 CAD (not including government-imposed taxes and fees) and Traveller B books a business class seat with a WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value of $1000 CAD (not including government-imposed taxes and fees).

Paying with Cash, Debit or any Credit Card other than a Triangle Credit Card

  • Traveller A will earn $2 in CT Money, which is 0.4% of the $500 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.

  • Traveller B will earn $4 in CT Money, which is 0.4% of the $1000 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.

Paying With a Triangle Credit Card

  • Traveller A pays for both herself and Traveller B with a Triangle credit card.
  • Traveller A will earn a bonus of $5 in CT Money, which is 1.0% of the $500 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.
  • Traveller B will earn $10 in CT Money, which is 1.0% of the $1000 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.

  • Note: Traveller B will earn the full 1% in CT Money as a Triangle credit card was used to purchase the ticket, even though the Triangle credit card does not belong to Traveller B. The charge to the Triangle credit card will be paid by Traveller A.

Scenario 2 - Family of 4 With 2 Linked Members3:

  • Traveller A books a flight for herself, her spouse Traveller B, and their two children.
  • Traveller A and Traveller B are both Linked Members3 of the Triangle Rewards and WestJet Rewards Linked Loyalty Program. The children are not Linked Members3.

  • Traveller A books herself a business class seat with a WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value of $1000 CAD (not including government-imposed taxes and fees) and Traveller B and their two children booked economy seats with a WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value of $500 CAD each = $1500 CAD (not including government-imposed taxes and fees).

Paying with Cash, Debit or any Credit Card other than a Triangle Credit Card

  • Traveller A will earn $4 in CT Money, which is 0.4% of the $1000 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.
  • Traveller B will earn $2 in CT Money, which is 0.4% of the$500 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.
  • The two children will not earn any CT Money as they are not Linked Members3.

  • Traveller A and B will not earn any CT Money for the two children.

Paying With a Triangle Credit Card

  • Traveller A pays for all 4 tickets with her Triangle credit card.
  • Traveller A will earn a bonus of $10 in CT Money, which is 1.0% of the $1000 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.
  • Traveller B will earn $5 in CT Money, which is 1.0% of the eligible $500 CAD WestJet Eligible Purchase1 value.
  • The two children will not earn CT Money.
  • Traveller A and B will not earn any bonus CT Money for the two children even though Traveller A paid for their tickets.

No, you do not provide your WestJet Rewards ID at the time of making an Eligible Purchase2 at Participating Stores* to earn WestJet points.

You can convert WestJet points to CT Money by logging into your WestJet Rewards® account and selecting “convert” under the Triangle Rewards® section.  Linked Members3 can convert one hundred twenty (120) WestJet points to one dollar ($1.00) in CT Money.  A minimum of two thousand four hundred (2400) WestJet points must be transferred. Conversion transactions cannot be reversed, cancelled or converted back once completed. To convert WestJet points, visit WestJet.com/Triangle.

3A Linked Member is someone who has linked their Triangle Rewards account and their WestJet Rewards account. You must be a Linked Member prior to making an Eligible Purchase at Participating Stores* to earn WestJet points. In the case of earning CT Money on a WestJet Eligible Purchase1, you must be a Linked Member prior to the departure of a flight segment (any single takeoff and landing by an aircraft) and your accounts must remain linked until any CT Money is credited to your Triangle Rewards account.

4Linked Members are required to enter their WestJet ID prior to the departure of a flight segment (any single takeoff and landing by an aircraft) for the purchase to qualify. CT Money® is issued within 30 days of completion of each flight segment based on the WestJet Eligible Purchase value of that flight segment. The WestJet Eligible Purchase value is typically less than the total cost of the ticket(s). The 1% CT Money that can be earned when payment is made with a Triangle credit card consists of the 0.4% that Linked Members can earn regardless of payment method, plus an additional 0.6% for payment using a Triangle credit card. This bonus is in addition to the everyday amount of CT Money that a Triangle credit card cardholder earns when making a qualifying purchase with their Triangle credit card.
